The Uptown Charlotte Cycle Track (Phase I) runs from Little Sugar Creek Greenway at 7th Street to the Charlotte Rail Trail. This 0.9-mile protected bike lane is the first phase of the longer planned Cycle Track that will provide a continuous greenway to greenway connection.
The completed Uptown Cycle Track will span Uptown Charlotte east/west and provide a connection between Little Sugar Creek Greenway and Irwin/Stewart Creek Greenway. This project aims to help Charlotte reach its vision of becoming a true city of bikes, balance needs of all modes of transportation and curb space users, increase safety and comfort for cyclists and pedestrians, and increase accessibility for cyclists of all ages and abilities.
