Description

This 1.5-mile paved segment of Little Sugar Creek Greenway connects Brandywine Road and Tyvola Road, contributing a key link in the overall 16-mile greenway corridor. In this section, a specially engineered viaduct carries the trail above one edge of the creek, providing fascinating views of the water throughout the curve. Several underpasses allow seamless travel past arterial roadways. Two public art pieces exist on the trail. These include "Rivulet" by Laurel Holtzapple and Shaun Cassidy and "Sycamore." Rivulet is located on the edge of Brandywine Road behind Park Road Shopping Center. Sycamore is located at one of this trail segment in Brandywine Plaza. Six neighborhood access points exist on the route with varying trail surfaces and trail grades. Please see the map and photos for more details. Because of the trail's proximity to Little Sugar Creek it is subject to flooding. Please check for trail closures and if using the trail around a rain event watch for soil and debris that may have washed onto the pavement.
