The Fourth Creek Section is well maintained wide paved greenway that weaves its way from Free Nancy Avenue to Broad Street. Parts of the trail provide complete seclusion from development as the trail follows Fourth Creek. The eastern most side of the trail opens up to run along the Statesville Soccer Complex while continuing along the creek. With multiple access points and passages under roads, the greenway provides the perfect escape for a walk, bike, or a run.
The section of trail from Free Nancy Road north to US-21 is constructed. However, this portion of trail is currently closed until construction on I-40 is complete.
