Irish Buffalo Creek Greenway

This 3.1-mile trail can be described as two segments. The first 0.4-mile natural surface segment winds through a wooded area within Vietnam Veterans Park owned by Cabarrus County. Mountain bikes are appropriate here. The new 2.7-mile greenway opened by Kannapolis in 2021 offers a number of loop opportunities utilizing Oakwood Avenue sidewalks. This is a 10-foot-wide paved greenway bordering the creek with benches along the way. This is a very relaxing trail that is well-shaded. Paved surface biking is appropriate on this segment. Hiking, walking and running are appropriate the entire length of the trail.
