The paved 2.9-mile greenway segment follows Stewart Creek, where a spacious wetland features overlooks for relaxation and observation of wildlife. Walkers and cyclists can easily access the greenway from Yellowstone Dr, Coronet Way, Norwood Dr, and Lakewood Ave. The underpass at Parkway Ave showcases a colorful mural celebrating Charlotte's west side. A recently completed segment through Martin Luther King Jr. Park features the longest bridge in the Mecklenburg County Greenway system at 181 feet! After the underpass of I-77, the trail splits into Irwin Creek Greenway and Wesley Heights Greenway, which connects users to the Uptown sidewalk trails.
